Osceola has one park with facilities for tennis, swimming, ballpark, picnic areas, and shelters. Overnight camping is permitted.

Tennis	-	Two lighted tennis courts with synthetic surface
Hunting	-	Pheasant, quail, deer, rabbit, and duck
Fishing	-	Fishing in private and state lakes in area and Platte River
Boating	-	All types of boating allowed at Lake North, 30 miles north of Osceola

The Senior Citizens Center offers activities of games, music, cards, dinners, and occasional trips for senior citizens.

Summer recreation programs include girls softball and swimming. The Polk County Fair is held annually in Osceola in July.

A museum, sod house, log cabin, country church, restored country school, a Union Pacific caboose, and the Governor's Arboretum are some of the local attractions that can be seen at the Polk County Historical Society grounds.
